Jacob grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington and graduated at Peninsula High School in 1998. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix AZ 1998-1999. He received his associates degree in Science and Technology. During his time at college Jacob worked at the Scottsdale Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Bentley dealership. This is where Jacob drove his first Porsche, a 993 Turbo!
After completion of technical college Jacob moved home and began working for Barrier Audi as an Audi technician. In 1999, he received factory Audi training. Jacob assisted with Porsche service and repair during this time and eventually switched over to the Porsche brand with the help of then Porsche service advisor, Jeff Falconer, and factory Porsche RSM and Gold master technician, Rick Podorski.
Jacob attended Porsche's turbo track training program, a 6 month-long Porsche program for new Porsche technicians.
Jacob continued working for Barrier Porsche. In 2007, Jacob qualified for and placed in the top 10 of the Porsche technician service cup at Rennsport Reunion in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jacob was the first Carrera GT certified technician in Washington state. He has experience working on several local Porsche 959's.
Jacob spent 5 years as a Porsche service advisor at Porsche Bellevue and is a Global Certified Porsche Brand Ambassador. Jacob wanted to get back to his roots both as a technician and in his personal life. He relocated to his hometown with his wife, Jaimee, and two daughters, and reunited with Jeff and Colin at Cantrell Motorsports. After 1 year at Cantrell Motorsports, Dundon Motorsports in Gig Harbor reached out to Jacob for assistance running their Service Department. Nearly 2 years later Dundon hit a pivotal moment when their manufacturing took off, and decided to end the service side of the business. Jacob became Shop Manager and helped assist and organize day to day operations. It was during this time Jacob realized the demand in the Gig Harbor area was still high for Porsche service.
Jason grew up in Marysville, Washington. He graduated high school in 2001. In 2003, Jason started working at Phil Smart Mercedes-Benz while attending Lake Washington Technical College for Automotive Repair. Jason graduated with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology.
In 2004, Jason started Mercedes-Benz factory training. By 2006, Jason qualified as a Mercedes-Benz Master Certified Systems Technician. In 2009' he became a Team Lead, and not too long after a Master Certified Diagnostic Technician.
Jason has maintained his Master Certification with Mercedes-Benz from 2006-2021. He has taken over 230 Mercedes-Benz Factory training courses.
In late 2020, Jason, his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Landon, decided to relocate to the Gig Harbor area to pursue starting a business with his long time friend Jacob.
Luis grew up in Tujunga, California with his parents and two brothers. He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in 1997. In 2000 Luis relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Universal Technical Institute and started working at Carburetors Specialties. Luis graduated in 2001 with an Associates Degree in Science and Technology.
In 2001 Luis completed the Porsche Technician Apprenticeship Program in Atlanta, Georgia. From 2002 to 2004 Luis worked at Bill Cook Imports in Farmington, Michigan as a certified Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen Technician. Missing his family, Luis moved back to California in 2004 and worked at Rusnak Auto Group in Pasadena, California until 2010 where he became a Gold Level Master Porsche Technician. At that time Luis met his wife, Brianna.
In 2010, Luis and his wife decided to move to Maple Valley, Washington to be closer to her family. This is where Luis met Jacob Coen and started working for Barrier Motors as a Gold Level Porsche Technician.
Spending the next 11 years working for the Pacific North West Porsche dealerships, Luis wanted to spend more time with his family and accepted a great opportunity to work with his friend Jacob, doing what he loves best: Porsche!
In his off time Luis enjoys playing with his two children, bowling, watching movies and cooking shows. Luis is a proud Seahawks fan and tries not to miss watching a game.
Nick grew up in Atlanta, GA, graduating from Lambert High School in 2012. After spending his entire childhood playing with and later modifying cars, he took an interest in the motorsports side of the world. Diving head first as a crew member at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2014, Nick began building his skill set with in-shop maintenance as well as remote work as a crew member for Porsche Club of America, GT World Challenge, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, and later Porsche Carrera Cup through the introduction of the 992 Cup Car. Interspersed between races included prepping and repairing cars, as well as ground up restoration and racing builds on various Porsche chassis ranging from early aircooled cars up to converting current model cars to compete on track. After almost 10 years of crew experience at race circuits across the country, Nick settled into a life of less travelling as a general service technician gaining experience across many european makes while specializing in Porsche systems. Now having relocated to the pacific northwest, Nick spends his spare time mountain biking and exploring the outdoors in any way possible.
Jaimee grew up in Woodinville, Washington, graduating from Woodinville High School in 2004. Upon graduating, Jaimee dove headfirst into the world of motorsports, shaping a successful career in the automotive industry over the years. Jaimee has been the face of many automotive and motorsports companies, earning a reputation as an integral part of the business. Her expertise ranges from full-charge office management to ground-up business startups, and she brings extensive knowledge and professionalism to the team. She is now fully dedicated to running Spec German alongside her husband, Jacob Coen, whom she met in 2009 during a business startup. Jaimee's extensive automotive and motorsports background and her belief in the importance of building strong client relationships make her an invaluable asset to Spec German, and a driving force in the industry.
In her off time, you will find Jaimee spending time with her and Jacob's two daughters and tending to their hobby farm with an array of animals.
